I was schooled on giving back/ paying privilege forward by the students of color in my GenEd105 section. Like all large universities Harvard admits a broad swath: rich/poor; brilliant/pedantic; kind/terrible. It is lazy to stop at “Harvard” when seeking an origin story for these fascists.
