MiLB announced this morning that FCL Yankees right-hander Jose M. Rodriguez was named FCL Pitcher of the Month for June.
Rodriguez went 0-2 with a 0.48 ERA in four games (three starts) as he held opponents to one earned run on 11 hits and four walks over 18.2 innings.

IIRC, Rojas Fis (his full Spanish surname) had a filthy slider, but I last saw him at the end of 2022. I'm hoping he doesn't throw today so I have a reason to go to Dunedin tomorrow.

Earlier today, the Yankees promoted Tarpons LHP Griffin Herring to High-A Hudson Valley via the transactions listing, and RHP Danny Flatt has been added to the 7-day IL (as of 5/27).

Wild that some of this is cheaper (like half as much in some cases) than Tarpons concessions pricing.
Of course that won’t be so much of an issue this year with them not running a concession stand (as far as I know). I’ll advise accordingly if that changes.

Tarpons average about 200-ish people on Sunday noon starts (just about every minor league teams in the area gets under 1,000, and they're all in the last few rows of shade).
I'm SUPER intrigued to see how the Rays attendance does for noon Sunday starts. I wouldn't be surprised if that changes.
