He was. And it worked.
I'm with you on how deplorable and cowardly it was for him to do this to people.
But now he's aware that IT WORKS.
This is exactly why capitulation is NEVER the correct action to take.
It only serves to embolden and encourage more heinous actions.

There is a very high likelihood that I would not currently be alive right now had I not begun treatment a couple of years ago. My liver literally resembled a piece of Swiss cheese.
But hey, maybe I could have fixed it with PB&J.

Hell, you can try reaching out to people. I would have gladly donated at least $200 a month to help you out while we fought for essential healthcare that will cost thousands of people their lives without.
You wouldn't be the first person I have helped with food.
There are many who would do the same.
November 15, 2025 at 8:05 AM
And that is going to become exponentially worse.
Although it's not always easy to find, there are many alternative resources for food insecurity outside of SNAP.
Having lived homeless all over this country, I know that all too well.
There ARE NO alternatives for healthcare options.

But apparently, you think it's beneficial to bend the knee. How's that been working out for us all so far? Good? Are things looking up? No? Why is that?
Maybe cowering to the Republican party isn't the brightest idea in the world. Who would have thought?!

As for starving? Good luck eating anything when you're in so much pain from your teeth and gums literally killing you that you can't eat so much as a God damn bowl of oatmeal.
As I mentioned before, you will find that the vast majority of people would prefer to continue the fight for healthcare.
November 15, 2025 at 7:58 AM
You seriously have the audacity to come in here talking about things you clearly know very little about.
Only someone who has no experience with it would display the kind of ignorance necessary to ask what good healthcare is when you are homeless.
November 15, 2025 at 7:56 AM
Continued 2:

There are also a plethora of homeless people, including dozens in this very same city I live in, who have been suffering from severe dental health issues for years on end, I guess healthcare isn't of any use to them either, right? I mean, dental issues can only kill you after all.

Cont;
My answer? I was homeless for over a decade after I returned home from Iraq, during that time I discovered that I am suffering from a liver disease.
Without the ACA subsidies, I would not have received the treatment I needed to cure said disease.
November 15, 2025 at 7:52 AM
LMFAO

Gate keep? I didn't come charging in here whining about how I am okay with millions of Americans will lose their healthcare because I want my SNAP back.
I also didn't "tell you how to feel"

As for "what good is healthcare when you're homeless" I have a fantastic answer for you;

Divine Providence?!?

Jesus Christ. What the hell has happened to people?
November 12, 2025 at 8:34 PM
The majority of those who were suffering through this absolutely disagree.
Don't bring your guilt trip to someone who endures the same struggles.
I'm in the same boat. But I also understand that capitulation is exactly why the GOP ENSURES that we suffer.
Your response is exactly what they are after.
November 12, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Time to resign, Chuck. Nobody wants you anymore. Either resign or we will vote you out. Either way, you KNOW your career is finished.
November 12, 2025 at 9:18 AM
The people, including myself, a disabled veteran who receives the same benefits that were being withheld from us, were willing to suffer for this fight.
It's a slap in our faces to capitulate in the manner they did.
All that we went through is now completely pointless.
November 12, 2025 at 12:59 AM
Bernie. As a veteran myself, if you truly want to honor what we fought for, help us get rid of the cowardly leadership of the Democratic party.
November 12, 2025 at 12:58 AM
Fuck you, Schumer. The people were absolutely willing to suffer for this fight. We agreed to the terms. YOU GUYS let us down.

A district court can use information gathered by a Representative request to make rulings, provided the information is admissible evidence under the Federal Rules of Evidence and proceedings are properly conducted. The use of this information is determined by judicial rules, not by its origin.
October 28, 2025 at 3:14 AM
There's a massive difference between a random citizen filing a complaint and a representative who can work hand in hand with a district court judge to circumvent a lack of action by the DOJ.
I'm not misinterpreting anything, I am providing a course of action to a representative that he CAN take.
October 28, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Violations of these rulings can then be enforced, not by the DOJ if it refuses to do so, but by the Court's own enforcement branch: the US Marshall Service.
October 28, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Members of Congress can request information from agencies to evaluate whether they are functioning legally, as intended and to inform future legislation.
A district court can subsequently use that information to lay down rulings, including strict limitations on operations within their district.
October 28, 2025 at 2:37 AM
It doesn't take that. A Law Enforcement Agency, particularly the agents involved, can be held accountable in a multitude of ways without seeking Senate or Congressional approval to do so.
A representative can solely initiate action to lead to the prosecution or other consequences for such an agent.
