Would’ve liked to see Norgaard start over Zubi tbh… been very surprised by how sparingly we’ve used him this season given he is more than capable

Why is Zubimendi not being considered as the signing of the season? Hes an absolute joke

Been saying it since the summer Odegaard won’t make our strongest XI when all are fit & firing. Simply put, Odegaard at his best doesn’t score the hatrick Eze does yday… time will tell put wouldn’t be surprised if come next season Saka/Rice was captain, Eze starting #10 & Odegaard sold.

We could’ve still made a few changes in the final 4/5 mins (before they equalised) to a) run down the clock b) stifle their momentum and c) add fresh legs into our XI. Simple tweaks like Norgaard for Merino, Hincapie/MLS for Trossard & White for Saka would’ve added further defensive solidity too.

The lack of Kepa content was unforgivable

Agreed. We need to sign Eze

Thanks for sharing, I was in the academy system (Brentford, Reading and then Luton) for 5 years between 11-16 years old (2010-2015)… a decade on, I’m not in touch with a single teammate of mine nor do I know where they ended up bar the 3/4 who ‘made it’ pro…

I’m talking about from the fans perspective… I don’t know about you but I’ve not seen or heard of any evidence yet
June 25, 2025 at 3:23 PM
What if the accusations against said player are base-less or fabricated? I’m not privy to the details some of the journalists are but as a fanbase we’ve not seen or heard anything that’s anymore convincing that just ambiguous reports or, worse, social media speculation…

I’m sure it wasn’t easy for him, mentally, being chastised by every fan base, including his own, due to sophistry & illusion that has evolved into a witch hunt that he’s at the centre of…
June 25, 2025 at 3:06 PM
Or he was an integral part of Arteta’s system and tactical set up - as this season just showed us…
June 25, 2025 at 3:04 PM
The outpouring of joy at him supposedly leaving is emblematic of a fanbase that has decided he is already guilty despite no one seeing any evidence or him being convicted/charged as guilty. It’s embarrassing given what he’s given to our football club, for our own entertainment.
June 25, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Not celebrating a goal to go 2-1 up over City, in our biggest win over them in over a decade, in what was our best league result last season all because of “accusations” that are still incredibly vague seems a bit extreme
June 25, 2025 at 2:42 PM
I think that’s revisionism & looking for the clear negatives, of which there are always going to be some, given off-field circumstances. Any non-Arsenal fan who watches us knows how good he is, especially when he’s at the top of his game… it feels like our fan base are being overly woke over this…
June 25, 2025 at 2:40 PM
I’m sure we all celebrated equally when he scored against City earlier this season.
June 25, 2025 at 2:24 PM
In spite of these points, as a fan base we shouldn’t be treating him as guilty if he’s not been charged or convicted. He’s been a terrific footballer when fit over the last 5 seasons and has put himself through significant physical (and likely mental) pain for us, as fans…
June 25, 2025 at 2:23 PM
I don’t disagree although for the majority of fans (and certainly for the manager) there aren’t/shouldn’t be. However you want to look at it, our squad is worse from a footballing perspective without Partey. Also, what happened to innocent until proven guilty?
June 25, 2025 at 2:03 PM
I don’t disagree with the sentiment but wouldn’t blame Arteta in the slightest… his priority is to win games and, if we’re being honest, TP had arguably his best season on the pitch for us last season. It’s a big loss to our squad - from a footballing perspective - however you want to frame it.

Grafite - solely for his stint (and that goal) at Wolfsburg
