I thought I'd have it all figured out by now.

Not quite as impressive as last night but still pretty neat.

Northern lights. Right outside our door tonight.

My son trolling his dad several years ago after a friend took him to a Hawkeye basketball game. He’s really an isu fan (mom grew up in Ames and her dad was on faculty) and wouldn’t be caught dead wearing this today.

V is for victory! That was a heck of a game. Vandy definitely still in the CFP hunt!

Been missing challenges lately but did get one done for this week’s #52frames #texture #photography challenge. Guess what it is?

Love this painting of marsh grass which is in the hallway of the hospital where I work. At the right time of the day you get a double exposure look with the reflection of the outside patio. #52frames_reflections #52frames #photography

I almost never get photos done this early in the week, but here are three photos for the #52frames #52frames_lowkey challenge. Haven't decided yet which one to go with.

Along Iowa's roadsides and gravel roads are numerous old abandoned homes. This was my second choice to...the first house I went to find had been torn down. I had passed by it often but never photographed it, and now it's gone. This one is still here though. Went with the close up. #52frames

Two other #52frames options for #macro #photography challenge include a tomato and the detail of a metal cross, given to me by the same Aunt mentioned in the previous post.

Think perhaps I narrowed it down to two this week for #52frames #macro #photography challenge this week. One is a flower in our garden. The other is from a chalice given to me by my Aunt, whose BIL was a Catholic priest.

We were in the Black Hills of South Dakota this week. I did not take this photo playing with WB settings in camera, but I did some post-processing adjustments to it since I shot this in RAW. Thinking this makes the falls look magical or fairy like. #52frames #photography #52frames_colortemperature

Some of my favorite vacations are the ones where I can enjoy a breakfast and coffee outside. (But still have a bed and a kitchen inside)

Lightened and pulled back on the blues.

I've always wanted to try to capture a traffic light trail photo. Being in Iowa I thought perhaps a more minimalist approach might be in order.

Taken for #52frames #photography “something new” theme.

I may lighten this a bit as it looks way darker than how I thought I edited it.

Not the most creative photo for #52frames "daily routine" theme, but this is certainly a part of my day.

Lincoln Highway, which runs through my small #Iowa town. Taken for the #52frames "street details" challenge.

Flag day!

It’s true one does feel better after doing this.

Apparently I’ve been saying it wrong all this time.

This week’s entry for #52frames for the Through the Looking Glass theme. Taken at dusk with a Vaseline smear on the lens.
