💯 agreed; I honestly think many engineers don’t have a solid mental model or methodology for troubleshooting and problem solving. It’s something you don’t learn in school, for sure.

😅 came here to say this exactly- what are the constraints and what are you optimizing for? This is also why I’m suspicious of the premise that vibe-coding is more successful in an “impure” context- you may not be building some crucial shared infrastructure but the trade-offs are just as important.

OkHttp MockWebServer has been pretty helpful for us in this regard- still exercises the full interceptor stack and the transport layer and the variance added by the local http server is minimal.
