This was my initial reaction reading it weeks ago:

I say “most appalling” because— while I loathe the 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘸 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘳 nonsense, I think I have to actually ask in what world would any competent academic in American history and/or political thought read that paper and think it is well done. The morality of it all aside, the substance is bad.

I wish this was true. Unfortunately, most Americans have an attention span that is, at best, fleeting. This will pass from the American eye quickly.

I have absolutely no confidence in the Supreme Court to be on the correct side of anything.

Unfortunately timing on my part. I spent most of the last year and a half focusing on my masters program. Who knows, maybe lightning will strike and the TT ban won’t go through. I won’t hold my breath though.
