My thing is changing the roster rules so you can’t vary as many pitchers. It would, in theory, mean starters have to go deeper and hopefully reduce velocity a bit as pitchers couldn’t just be max effort all the time.

Yeah. It doesn’t help that it seems like the people in charge hate the sport. Manfred is in it to crush labor and get rich, he could give a fuck about baseball.

This is right. The sabremetric stuff helps you optimize for winning. But optimizing for winning hurts the product as entertainment. The folks running the sport need to be more proactive about the sport as entertainment.

If I were the Rams I’d be salty about the weird 2 point conversion. It was the right call but the way it went down with the call coming down with them lined up to kick off would be super annoying.
