I really believe based on my work/what I do for it that most places are simply using “AI” as a cover for these layoffs. We’d be hearing about the cost savings/actual demonstration of what it’s doing if it could actually replace people.

About 5% of it has some sort of use that I’ve seen 2 years of observation. Would I have tied an entire nation’s economic future to it in its current form, at the expensive of green energy and infrastructure? Probably not!
