It’s all beyond disturbing. And our current state library board wants to follow the Naval Academy’a example.

Our international students are vital to making our university better - not just financially but it definitely helps. If we lose them, I don’t know what we’d have to do. But whatever happens will definitely impact our most vulnerable students first.

Cynical or not I’m grateful that Harvard & MIT are using their resources & privilege to fight. I work at a regional teaching university in the south. We’re a PBI w/ a lot of first-gen students & have limited options to fight back.

Agreed Im sure the administration’s ultimate decision was motivated by self-interest & self-preservation. But I firmly believe that purer motivations contributed too - maybe not from the trustees or top administrators, but the 100s of faculty members (like me) who’re advocating from the inside out
