I didn't go to an Ivy League school, but a selective private school with a well-respected program in journalism. It helped me get my foot in the door but, like you, experience counted more in landing subsequent jobs.

I'd love to hear from Ivy League alumni who did not come from wealth or have connections about whether it was worth it to get a degree from an Ivy League school.
