A match that is very well summarised by the @fotmob.com momentum chart.

#CFC failed to properly capitalise on first half dominance and Unai Emery’s subs were then far more effective than Enzo Maresca’s.

Not sure Maresca’s substitutions helped #CFC tonight. Enzo Fernandez clearly needed to be replaced but Gusto then joining Reece James in midfield in front of Caicedo looked awkward.

Surely Estevao or even Buonanotte as a direct replacement in the 10 would have been better for continuity?

Been really impressed with #BrentfordFC and Keith Andrews so far.

Like most, I didn’t give them much of a chance, but they’re both effective and a good watch.

Kayode great at creating chances with his feet as well as his throws, and the direct passes from Damsgaard and Henderson fantastic.

There was me thinking #WHUFC might show a bit more tonight in Nuno’s first home game.

This has been absolutely dreadful from them so far. Brentford should be 2 or 3 up.

Haaland and Doku both so good today in so many areas of the pitch.

Can always count on Juventus to produce back-to-back 7-goal thrillers 🤨
September 16, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Could still be some late twists, but on the face of it, Chelsea replacing Jackson, Nkunku, George and Delap as available attacking options with Garnacho, Guiu and Buonanotte in these final days of the window feels… suboptimal?

That’s the first ‘wow’ free-kick I’ve watched live in ages. Stunning from Szoboszlai.

Thought Dominik Szoboszlai had a really good half there playing out of position. Very difficult circumstances for Liverpool in the first half hour and he really stepped up.

1. This must just be to annoy Tottenham as don’t really see how he gets many games.

2. Quite surprised Hincapie is only 23! Feels likes he’s been around for ages
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal working to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen - subject to player exits. 23yo defender told #Bayer04 of wish to leave + prioritising #AFC above others. Efforts ongoing to make fee more realistic than €60m clause 🚨

Arsenal working on deal to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen
Hincapie’s preference is to join Arsenal and the Premier League side are ready to push for him, should departures materialise.

Pretty much the only explanation for VAR not giving that handball is deliberately avoiding a red card 10 minutes in.

A very Tottenham night for Thomas Frank to experience in his first proper game in charge.

Plenty of positives for Spurs to take generally but a harsh reminder of the psychological barriers there still are to overcome even after the UEL win last season.

Why Villarreal would choose to do this is beyond me.

Really feel for their fans who have campaigned against it.
🚨 Villarreal complete acquisition of Thomas Partey as free agent. 32yo midfielder has signed 2yr deal at #VillarrealCF after departing Arsenal when terms ended. Ghana international’s arrival set to be officially confirmed 🚨

Sinner vs. Alcaraz is fast becoming one of the great rivalries in all of sport.

Three absolutely ridiculous winners from Sinner in that final service game to level at 1 set all.

Pretty tough to watch this #Wimbledon final.

Swiatek immense but Anisimova looking completely overawed by the occasion.

Really hope for her sake she gets a game or two on the board.

Fair to say Joao Pedro is taking his chance in his first Chelsea start 😳🔥

Decent enough game between Real Madrid and Al Hilal but yet another match at this Club World Cup where the weather/scheduling is clearly just too much for many players.

Wouldn’t fancy attending some of these mid-afternoon games in Miami/LA just to watch let alone play.

Absolutely insane #RolandGarros final.

5 set matches always a reminder of how tennis is probably unmatched as a test of fitness.

The level both Sinner and Alcaraz are still playing at after 4.5 hours is remarkable.

Really like the Cunha to #MUFC deal. Obviously going to take more than him to sort out the sizeable mess at Old Trafford but he’s a perfect fit for Ruben Amorim.

PSG not really a club that’s easy to be ‘happy for’ when finally winning the Champions League, but it’s great that it’s happened with this manager and this team rather than the ‘galactico’ filled sides we’ve seen across the past decade.

An England call-up for Trevoh Chalobah to mark the end of a pretty remarkable season of resilience.

The way he has played and conducted himself during difficult (and I’d argue very unfair) circumstances has been so impressive. Delighted for him.

Jackson’s red was obviously a big moment today, but largely just emphasised the problem #CFC have had all season of a lack of an additional centre forward.

Newcastle looked better both in terms of tactics and intensity even before the red card.

Respect to PSG for missing the unjust penalty and then scoring a proper second goal 👏

Wasn’t able to watch last week’s first leg live and was obviously gutted to have missed it.

Mainly because there was no chance the second leg would then be an entertaining 3-3 as well.

What a tie.
