A visit to Antietam National Battlefield with Mark Wolfram, one of my college roommates. The Emancipation Proclamation was released after this battle because Lincoln was persuaded to wait until the Union won a significant battle.

I stopped by the Petrified Forest National Park today to see how many parks I can visit on this trip. And to prove I could safely get out of the car. When I was there last year, the wind was so strong that it blew my door open when I opened it and it still doesn't close right. 😃
