He's one of the few filmmakers where you can just legit take any random frame from one of his films, no matter which period, and put it on your wall.

I think I've been there! Is that Jigoku Valley/Noboribetsu?

Lol, genau an den Typen musste ich bei OP auch denken. Zweimal jetzt gesehen, jedes mal cringe pur.

Except for controlling Squall in that scene, 25 years later and it still irritates me 😅

It certainly feels like they not only expect a radical reaction, but also hope for it?

This album was absolutely essential to a particular time in my life, I get chills every time I listen to it. Probably my most listened to electronic music album ❤️

It's truly incredible. That last season was really hard to watch though, we only managed one episode a night, it was too painful otherwise 😅

I doubt that there wasn't some human in the loop here, at least for selecting the final image, maybe even some compositing work. And then, how is this worse than some unpaid intern photoshopping some assets together?

😅 sorry for the lingo, but what's so bad about more people being exposed to classic films, even if it's through means that are sketchy?

Of course the AI slop posters on Prime are horrible, but then shit artwork was totally normal for VHS and DVD releases as well. AI is replacing those, not stuff like the beautiful Criterion covers. And if it drives engagement for stuff like the original Nosferatu version, why not?
