Extra concerning when combined with the fact that the Administration defied the judge’s order to turn the planes around. Once due process is gone, you don’t get your “day in court,” you get taken, loaded on a plane, and disappeared before a judge can even say no.

So McBride does respectability politics and makes herself small, keeps her head down, and plays the role of “my trans friend said it’s okay to abandon the trans community for political expediency”

It’s the left that has a messaging problem: broadly popular ideas that appeal to the masses, but difficulty communicating those ideas to reach average working class voters. Granted, funding is easier when your messaging is consistent with capitalist profiteering vs. being critical of it…

He was damned *by republicans if he did, versus now being damned by the democratic base, and he decided that making his own base mad was better than making republicans mad. They’re always chasing these imaginary republican voters who will switch their votes but they don’t exist

This sounds like a great strategy in theory for anyone privileged enough to not be affected. But lots of people are going to be harmed. I hate when Dem operatives and talking heads speak from their comfortable positions as if this is all some game to win when people’s lives are at stake.
