If you do that at a company, you get yelled at for being too slow. If you just quickly vomit out bad code that passes a bunch of trivial tests (if at all), you get a pat on the back.

That I am perfectly fine with, for the exact reason you say. I also don't know whether medieval jousts did feature stamping and clapping or not, but I don't see why it shouldn't or that we will rock you has a monopoly on the most straightforward rhythm possible for that 😀

Sure, feel free to think and feel that way, but it pulled *me* *personally* out of the setting because knowing a bit about music history, it *felt* unignorably incongruent, intentional or not. And rains fit it's scene perfectly well.

Rationalize it however you want, it pulls *me* out of the world because to me, it *doesn't* fit because it sounds modern. Would you jump through the same hoops if yennifer were to pull out a smartphone?

Rains actually sounds like the world it's set in. Toss a coin is a modern four chord pop song with a bluesy inflection, just played on a lute. Sounds completely "wrong" to me, given the setting.

That's why I bought a line 6 variax modeling guitar at some point. I can make it sound like a (somewhat realistic) sitar, banjo, acoustic, jazz guitar, whatever, and change the tuning to whatever I want just by turning a knob. Not perfect, but extremely versatile
