I smell like a wet dog, but it’s all good.
“Sugar” had a ring tag on the collar, so scanning the QE code connected me to her owner (who was at the grocery). She called her son and a wet/cold Sugar was handed off.
Evidently, she’s an escape artist, but is deaf, so doesn’t hear traffic or people.

He’s back from his vet appointment. They checked his eye, too. It looks like an injury from a fight, but it’s healing. Likely 3-5 years old.
He accepts scritches!
He will remain caged till tomorrow, to be sure he’s okay from his visit.

It’s no longer sadness, just missing him. He was a feral kitten, whose mother had been killed by a car. Bottle fed and raised by our sweet Hammer Cat. His short life was/is still hard to cope with. Special anipals are like that. We love to see the Dizzy - Hammer lessons manifest in Charlie.
