Hi Alex, Last time I spoke to you, I was told that I had met the minimum GPA required and did not need to go through this process again. I have a cumulative of 2.428. I have met the minimum GPA required. Why are you all placing a hold on my account? I have tried to reach out to the Financial Aid Office about this repeatedly both via e-mail and over the phone but all I'm getting are e-mails like these with ZERO acknowledgment of my issue. This kind of treatment is frankly disgraceful. My walking is limited because I sprained my ankle but do I have to hobble over to campus in my goddamn walking boot for you all to get it together? You are all literally setting me up to fail. You've been pretty supportive in our past interactions so I didn't expect this kind of cruel carelessness from you too. Thanks. All the best, Here is the most recent correspondence I sent out to the Financial Aid Office. I figured it would cover everything. The tone of the e-mail is obviously much harsher because I'm not going to be cordial when I'm being treated so poorly. I don't care if this was some oversight or miscommunication. This has happened more than once and it's having a serious impact on my life when all I'm trying to do is continue my education. I'm seriously not going to continue waiting. Again, I get that you're all busy and underpaid but that's no excuse for this kind of treatment of one of your most vulnerable and marginalized students. If no one of you responds by Thursday, I'm just going to assume that this is a lost cause because telling me I have to go through another appeals process where I'll be forced to relive traumas when I have met the minimum 2.0 GPA requirement is beyond cruel. Seriously, what is wrong with you all?

i CC-ed the associate director of the office bc i got her e-mail LAST SEMESTER WHEN I HAD TO GO THRU THE SAME FCKING THING. my GPA was 0 after all the shit i went thru. do u know how much work i had to raise that shit up?!
are grossly underpaid. But this is my life. I know plenty of people in academia and even they are shocked at how this school's treatment of me, especially its Financial Aid Office. I really hope that you're getting a good night's sleep and that all that rest will lead to a proper response as well as resolution because I won't be sleeping a wink until all of this is resolved. my school’s finaid office put a hold on my acct AGAIN for not meeting the min required GPA when I HAVE!!!!!!!! they have not replied to me & an hr ago i got sent an email from them saying i need to file a SAP appeal :) so i decided to write an email
Hi, Not sure if you remember our previous interaction. Either way, I really did not to have to go through this mess yet again but here we are. The attached documents are: 1) The most recent unofficial transcript from {redacted} that shows that my cumulative GPA is 2.428 which meets the 2.0 GPA requirement. 2 & 3) My other Helpdesk ticket with this office regarding the same issue that has gone unresolved or even responded to despite someone being assigned to it. I cannot attend school without federal aid. I have worked tirelessly with my treatment team to get to a point where I was able to go back to school and get my GPA to meet SAP standards. I’ve had to relive some of the most traumatic moments of my life to explain why my academic performance from a decade ago was so poor during previous SAP appeals. It was incredibly dehumanizing but I understood why it was necessary. Yet despite bringing my GPA up to meet SAP standards, my aid was held back from me and I did not receive the financial aid for Spring 2025 in due time. This caused severe distress as I depended on the financial aid money to pay for materials needed for my classes as well as essential living costs. I am a disabled survivor on SSI because I can’t work. This fiasco was handled so poorly and after trying to get a hold of someone from the office since December 2024, I only got a response when I said will going public about the matter would get someone to respond to me. The delay in aid caused significant setbacks and I had to withdraw from classes and take the semester off to recover from damage done. Now, we are a little over a month away from the Fall 2025 semester starting and I can’t help but ask does {Redacted} Financial Aid Office just really hate marginalized people? I mean I thought all of this was resolved. Even when I met with my academic advisor earlier in the summer, they said I had met the minimum requirement and thus did not need to appeal. I am a 31-year-old, non-traditional, 1st gen student. I became severely disabled after a nearly dying, waking up from a coma after my family members were told to prepare for my death, & a sexual assault just 6 months after—All right before and during my first semester at {Redacted} a decade ago. My health understandably took a deep dive and I became unable to work or attend classes. I had to adjust to my new life as a disabled survivor and trust me it was not an easy journey. But I did it and I’ve managed to raise my GPA to meet minimum standards. I thought I was finally over having to relive my traumas and having to repeatedly explain why I desperately need this money or the fact that I cannot go to school without it. But here we are. This does not seem like a simple casual error anymore. By placing this hold and labeling me as a student who has not met SAP standards WHEN I HAVE is unacceptable. You are setting me up to fail. I cannot go through a repeat of the Spring 2025 semester. I cannot have another delay in my aid. I am following the rules and doing what I’m supposed to be doing. On top of everything else I have to deal with on the daily as a disabled person dependent on federal aid and everything that’s currently happening in this country (which by the way, greatly impacts me & my loved ones) I have to now deal with this. Lucky me! I thought had my fill of deeply distressing news with the ~Big Beautiful Bill~ passing even though it is a literal death sentence for me and numerous loved ones as well as the terrifying ICE raids & return of internment camps. But I guess you guys just had to add on. Do I have to show up in person for you to listen? Tell you all of this in tears? Should I get letters from my treatment team telling you how much harm you are doing? Or should I just give up and try my luck at a different school because surely not all schools are this horrific in their treatment of marginalized students. I realize that all of you
