"As recently as a decade ago, a majority of Republicans said they had “a great deal or quite a lot of confidence” in higher education." And that trust has collapsed. Very true. Now, either the behavior of faculty changed dramatically about a decade ago, or something changed in American politics. 🤔

Can you really convince Giannis to stay with “hey we’re gonna suck for two years, but after that we’re gonna have a chance to retool again”. Idk, doesn’t seem like something 31 year old Giannis will want to wait for.

I didn’t read the article so maybe this was addressed, but I think it ultimately comes down to what Giannis wants. He hasn’t been shy in the past about wielding contract negotiations to pressure the team to improve immediately. If he doesn’t want to wait while the team “takes its medicine”…..
