So I did it again and kept it simple. Then I remember I still have those color filter sheets that I used in a separate art several months ago and tried to use that instead. With the scanner, it kinda made the color look more lighter than what it originally is, but oh well.
A linework redone in blue ink as the face of the character has changed a tad. A process of the drawing, slowly being inked with ohuhu markers as the grey tone shadings from the face to the arms and attire, as well as copic markers for small shadings on the face, arm and hands; plus tones and highlight on the hair.

However, I had some trouble with it. Before I did wanted to create the piece using gouache paint lightly as an overlay. And as a result I...did an oopsie and I kept sighing how badly so messed up.
There are two drawings. The left side is a linework draft of the art, done in only blue and red led pencil. As the one on the right is an inked version. Done with red ink and a bit of blue and purple ink. Upon closer look, there are cross-hatching work done from the hair, to the face, down to the chest area halfway to the attire as well. A process of the art that is drenched in water as the reflection of the light hits on the paper. The original art that was inked and cross-hatched, now blotched in blue gouache paint on certain parts of the character's body. The right shoulder, the left side of the attire and down where the short hakama and right hand is. A/N: At this point, instead of doing anything more or even ripping it apart (I thought about it), decided to start all over again in a different piece of paper.

And here is my progress of the art.
As soon as I did the linework for it, I spent a week just staring at it, before I began to finally start painting it. Just one day the background, the other day the base colors, and so on.
(If there's some other element I forgot to add...ehhhhh)
A picture of the art process. The background was filled first using a blue copic marker, leaving the drawing of both Kazuha and Scara in just light linework. A picture of the art process as the background is now painted with gouache using a mixture of indigo, ultramarine, and a little bit of black. The drawing of the work are more prominent as the linework is more visible and their skin has been colored with a mixture of markers and Prismacolor pencils. A picture of the art process, the rest of their attire have been painted with only a few finishing touches. In the background, outside my art, there's a green cutting board underneath it, plus several color pencils and markers scattered around. A/N: I cleaned up my disaster of a desk, for now.

Like always, here's the process of the sketch~
I wanted to make this in gouache paint since it has been a long while, but oh boy, did I take my time making this in what I had in mind.
I do have another art planned to be in paint as well, but next time plan out what colors to use first ^^;
From the left is the rough draft of the drawing and on the right is a cleaner sketch of the same art. Both are done in red and blue led pencil. The process of the art, starting with painting the shoji door in brown gouache paint. Leaving the figure of Scara alone for now. The next process of the art, starting with painting the skin color part to then the mesh top over the skin. Follow by painting the hakama purple, to later paint a darker color over it and the ribbon in red over it. The next next process of the art before doing the finishing touches. Starting with painting the hakama in a lavender color with a sky blue color for the ends of the sleeve and collar. Followed by painting the hair in a mixture of violet and ultramarine color.

Making each texture sure takes a lot of time, but I wanted to do it.
The top part of his arms got lost cause I kept redoing it several times, you can sorta see the shape I was going for ^^;

Getting revenge after last month

Kazuscara art done in copic markers and prismacolor pencils. With white ink on certain details, plus red and purple ink on the linework. Scara is tied up in shibari in just his mesh leotard on, wrapped from his chest in an X-pattern to his arms tied up in knots. He is flushed and exasperated, looking at Kazuha as he himself is spreading Scara's legs out while only blowing air at his nether region. Sometimes caressing his thighs, but not so much stimulation as sweat drips and a wet patch is formed in the middle.

Another one that I got on my mind. The AU thing, I mean. Figured what Scara's design would look like, kinda wanted the same for Kazuha, but all I did was have him fully wear his haori, and with a longer hakama...that's it ('-' )

I realized that after looking at the two drawings, there's a common theme...the right side is bared open for everyone to see, but he covers the left to hide the emptiness where his heart lays—ANYWAYS!

Scara, in only his mesh leotard, warps his legs around Kazuha's waist as he gets comfortable sitting on his lap. He grabs a tuft of his hair loosely free from his ponytail, slightly lifting his face as he mischievously looks at Kazuha. No intention on continuing any further, only in slight movements by Scara is just enough to send Kazuha mad with arousal.

Originally, I was gonna sketch more of Kazuha, but I ended up making this for Scara instead lol
This AU idea I have is still lingering in my head, and so, I wanted to make an outfit for Scara. The role he portrays is more or less the same; just leaning more to the eccentric part.

A rough sketch of Scaramouche/Wanderer in a different attire. He wears an uchikatsugi with long tied ribbons dangling with a small bell at the ends. A haori designed in tatewaku patterns, decorated with nio dasuki around his shoulders with a little accessory tied together. A long hakama with an ougi or wave pattern at the ends. And geta sandals with cloth leggings. On the far left was one of the first drafts that was close to the original design, but I went for a different route instead. A/N: This is still a work in progress, I may end up changing certain accessories to still be Scaramouche. I still want him to be beautiful, he's gotta have that air that draws you in just enough until you realize there's something off about him before it's too late. Then BLAM! You ded. Although to be fair, that's still mostly Scara in all interpretations lol

This is actually the first ones I did, I used scenes from Ninja Scroll as reference.
Like, Scara looks good. But I see Kazuha and– I MADE HIM LOOK OLDER. I NEED HIS SOFT ROUND CHEEKS 😭
And that's why I did the ones on top and felt satisfied.
A variation of sketches of Wanderer/Scaramouche, using Kagerō from Ninja Scroll as reference. A mixture of expressions from being irritated to looking almost evil and some like he's holding back before bursting. A/N: This one I didn't mind, as I always make sure Scara stays beautiful. I do find it interesting how similar they are, in terms how little they view themselves as just tools with little disregard of their self being, as long as they get the job done. And I was like, "Wow...my life really is a circle". A variation of sketches of Kaedehara Kazuha, using Kibagami Jūbei from Ninja Scroll as reference. There are a lot of angry expressions and some where it looks like he's about to attack. A/N: I realized I made him too much like the reference, so I had to dial it back down to what Kazuha actually looks like later.

This month, I've only been sketching and just recently wanted to try something new. This happens every January when I want to change up my style. Using old school anime as references (that's nothing new from me lol). I wanted to do the shading, but also an AU idea popped in my head while doing it.

I was heavily inspired by the movie, Millenium Actress. I loved the movie, the song Rotation (Lotus-2), and just everything. Making the two things that I love in my heart and put them together to make whatever thoughts in my head wanted to create.
The layout of making the paper crafts of the three. One of the pieces (Scaramouche) spread out. Other pieces (Wanderer) spread out while trying to out them together. The backdrop before it was colored and laid with more decorations. A/N: I punched holes individually to create the lights peeking out, using my lightboard as said source of light. The leaves were done using a hole puncher design of an actual maple leaf. Try and guess how many leaves are in the piece, there's a significant amount that I made.
