With 14 university trusts now under review for maternity and neonatal services, I’m proud to have contributed to bringing attention to these urgent failings - and to be part of journalism that helps families push for accountability and change.

When I first began looking into this, I learned that hundreds of families had joined a campaign group to bring their stories to light - a powerful collective effort.
