One thing I noticed with the 11.1.7 Storyline is that it's a red herring. From what I've gathered on it so far it's meant to establish 12.X's "conflict" plot.
The real story leading to the "path to 11.2" story is through the other feature they brought in.

I would say closer toward 11.2 release. July or August is my guess. (Probably August with the Midnight info dump.)
