I meant to respond to comments where people were saying that gerrymandering wouldn't be an issue if the electoral college was no longer a thing, but I responded to the main post instead.

One thing I've learned about both parties is that they both hate the electoral college...until it wins them the election. I agree totally that the electoral college should be done away with, but i wouldn't hold my breath, no matter who holds the majority.
