The audacity of this man to take the established tour guide’s tour to create his own for a brand partnership with AirBNB is the most disgusting thing I’ve seen on social media relating to Old Hollywood in years.

Recently in a Marilyn Monroe group, Arthur Miller was accused of not getting his wife’s hearing impairment correct on this medical document from 1957/58. Luckily, we now have confirmation from Marilyn herself via an annotation she wrote in a script for SGTG in 1961.

Best book I read this year for class was definitely @aperren.bsky.social Indie Inc. As someone who focuses almost exclusively on the studio era from the 1934-1967, this one made Newman’s and King’s works click.

I finally did an ancestry DNA test, and I am very boring. On the plus side, I found my grandpa’s birth family, but wouldn’t you know, they have two daughters who could be his mom.

However, there were some winners from their session together. If I had to guess, I would estimate these were taken in late-July/early-August 1955, shortly after her casting.

As much as I love seeing up-and-coming Jayne photographs, it’s evident Jayne and Greene didn’t connect.

Milton Greene took all the photos initially utilized for the stage play, Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter (1955). In addition to the poster art, Greene’s photos appeared on stage.
