Played in a homebrew #ttrpg last night where we were all different kinds of spirit guardians for a girl growing up.
I was her imaginary friend embodied in the stuffed animal elephant she'd been given as a baby. I helped her remember important things because, you know, elephants.

The spectacle of Beast Games is a good attention-grabber, but it doesn't keep you engaged. One episode a week is probably helping, with cliffhangers and promos building hype to bring more people in each week without burning existing viewers out, but I would bet very few will rewatch this show.

Been watching Beast Games on Amazon and feel like the obsession with scale (huge prizes, 1000 contestants, massive sets) has missed the point for reality competition TV.
There have been good moments, but only now, 8 episodes in and 10 contestants remaining, is it actually getting *interesting.*
