Der Artikel ist problematisch. Die Autoren tun, als ginge es hier um Ökonomie und unterschlagen die Bedrohungslage in der sich Europa befindet. Die Drohungen Russlands ggü. Deutschland wird nicht erwähnt, genauso wenig wie belegte hybride Angriffe. Man fragt sich wieso man das ausblendet

Würde mich mal aus dem Fenster lehnen und behaupten, dass das Vertrauen in den Kanal, die Person, Fachkunde und Gründlichkeit entscheidend sein wird.

Wirklich guter Beitrag. Das sind die Diskussionen, die man in der Mitte jetzt führen muss. Für mich das Kernthema das über Jahrzehnte zur Entfremdung von der Mitte geführt hat.

As we mainly need them for Russia anyway, it’s probably preferable they go to work in Ukraine rather than catching dust elsewhere. Doesn’t make sense to wait until we need them for missiles heading towards our own countries

We just collectively agreed to spend 2% more on defence. There must be room for a swap like deal where allies buy present US capacity, so US books look like the US sold them to allies (not supporting Ukraine) and EU transfers them to Ukraine, where they go to work

Absolutely. However, Europeans can’t afford to fall for another “Russia won’t attack” hope. Russia is attacking NATO members permanently on a level that is just shy of retaliation. There is no reason to believe this will not escalate in case of China/Taiwan, FN in France etc.

Interesting interview. However, I disagree with the view that NATO won’t be tested in the Baltics before Ukraine is settled. Russia is testing NATO already with incursions into its airspace, cyber operations and aggressive espionage. Can’t see why it’s unthinkable that they’d up that

Hm read a comment of a milblogger arguing that nobody can really assess in such a short time with certainty how effective the strike was and that standard wordings of this report might be misinterpreted. Also deaths key scientists could play a role 1/2
