Machado would even make a deal with the devil at her expense, if it meant securing freedom for Venezuela. She's just that selfless and dedicated to the cause.

I despise narratives like these that make it seem as if Machado was seeking to overthrow a democratic leader.

Maduro *stole* the last election. He's a dictactor with no people's mandate.

And it was thanks to Machado that that fact was proven publicly and notoriously.

At the end of the day, she's a politician and knows how to play the game.

Had Kamala won, she'd have cozied up to her instead.

But one is real about Machado, and that is her integrity. Her values are just as strong as her will. And I wouldn't want anybody else representing Venezuela.

Machado fully deserves that prize. We have never been as close to breaking our chains as we are today.

And it is all thanks to her.

She says she "admires" Trump 'cause she's a pragmatist. She knows that's what works with him. We needed the US' support to achieve our goals and she's getting it.

Yo! Fractal farms!
That's wild.

I reckon this procedure probably works for a lot of pixelart.

I've always thought that doing pixelart a lot of times feels like chiselling a blob of pixels, or shaping a piece of clay.

Honestly, I kinda like it.

But I can see how it might be an issue if you're scrolling lefthanded.

In development, there's no such thing as "Should be quick. Won't take more than 30 minutes".

It's always at least 1 hour, or anywhere up to a full 8-hour shift 🥹

The effect the fed has on the economy whenever it prints money is insidious.

You don't feel it all at once. But suddenly, people with more money in their pockets, that was printed, come to buy stuff. The demand for stuff raises since there's more money. So the economy answers by raising prices.
November 27, 2024 at 5:41 PM
Just saw the video. And yeah, while it is true the fed plays by different rules as an isolated entity, they can't just print money consequence free.

The military also employs regular citizens who must be paid. So any money printed will still make it to the economy as well. Which raises inflation.

No no, I never wanted to imply that taxation was theft.

I meant that some governments (broadly speaking) have corrupt officials that steal from the public treasury through various means, which further contributes to the budget deficit.

And the deficit is covered through printing.
November 27, 2024 at 5:23 PM
The purpose of reducing expenditures, is to minimise how much money is printed. Because typically governments spend (or steal) more money than what comes in through taxes.

Welfare is good and all, but an imbalanced government budget is ultimately bad for everyone in the long run.
November 27, 2024 at 10:19 AM
Any money the government prints and spends eventually makes its way to people's pockets and the economy.

But if you don't increase the supply of goods along with it, you end up with a surplus of money all competing for the same goods. This naturally increases inflation.

Anger promotes "engagement".

That's why Twitter turned into such a cesspit. Anger makes people "engage", which in turn makes them stay longer on the platform, so that they can watch more ads and make more money for the platform.

That's pretty cute!
November 27, 2024 at 3:45 AM
They sure are! Though, I'm typically way more interested in their industrial uses than in eating them.
November 26, 2024 at 11:52 PM
Yeah, definitely won't be attempting any of that any time soon 🤣 too scary, even with research.

But it's interesting that you're doing it.

How do you even tell if it's edible or not?

I'd be terrified to eat any kind of unfamiliar mushroom.

Here's a few other pieces as well.
