The Times prefers to report on the slide into authoritarianism rather than try to stop it. Trump’s illegal acts are described as “testing the limits,” “expansion of powers,” etc.

This is distressingly partisan. Just what we need, another naysayer in the final week of a mayoral campaign.

Not to mention how much our paper of record ♥️ cars, those companies pay for a lot more ads than subways…

The Republicans control all three branches of government, please don’t do a ‘both sides’ on this. It’s too important a topic.

In DC in particular, Democrats have become very invested in a flattering self-image--they're "the adults on the room." But if you avoid forceful daily pushback, you're not the adult in the room. You're not IN the room.

"If we did that, we'd never get anything done." Okay. What are you getting done?
