Dropping excess kumura starts in my local pātaka Kai. If you have excess seedlings or starts, consider donating them in this way, you never know who needs just a few more plants for their garden. Work together for food sovereignty. <3

Finished filling my hydro and am now green housing a ton of excess seedlings to donate in my community. More will be ready to come out of my humidity tank in about a week. #feedingpeople

A piwakawaka has moved into my garden about 2 weeks ago and seems quite chuffed with the clothesline.

Hiking the Motu Trails over the next few months. Today was the Tirohanga Dunes Trail along Hikuwai beach! Bonus Whakaari included!

This trail was taken care of and smooth enough for mobility aid usage, but I would have struggled if it had been a pushchair day.

37 starting out right. Unseasonal strawberries and some gorgeous Aotearoa with my partner. Today’s plan is some time on the Motu Trails and a few hours in the garden.

Mangosteen is coping with the move with lots of anger and flopping. I love this cat.

It’s feijoa season! (Aka why I haven’t been around) starting to dry off a years supply and making some little feijoa muffins or feijoins as I’ve been calling them.

Garden is absolutely pumping. Today was dill pickles, more passionfruit, and giant courgette + tomatoes. Did a stir fry with courgette, tomato, leek, and beef for dinner. Gonna make passionfruit cordial tomorrow and biff some courgettes, passionfruit, tomatoes and cucumbers on my neighbors doorstep.

Cucumber and passionfruit are the bug producers right now. So many we couldn’t wait for Saturday harvest. Got some damson plums too. Courgette overload starts Saturday. (Honestly excited to see how many we can get into the food pantries!)

Got some passionfruit off the giant arch too!

Had a wonderful time at the community garden today. Had to spray for powdery mildew as the humidity after the last rain was horrid. Thankfully that’s just a bit of baking soda in water and away you go. :)
