Here's my prediction of what is coming in 2026. I believe Trump and the Republicans will start trying to expel liberal Congressmen for charges of "disloyalty" or "treason". They will offer corrupt Dem congressmen $$$ to vote with them. Some will.
The constitutional limits on the power of expulsion are informed by the Expulsion Clause's text, historical background, judicial precedent, and historical practice. Presently, the only explicit standards for expulsion are the supermajority voting requirement and that the individual subject to the expulsion has been formally seated as a Member of that body. The history of the Expulsion Clause suggests that the expulsion power is broad and confers to each house of Congress significant discretion as to the proper grounds for which a Member may be expelled. Accordingly, courts generally have declined to adjudicate the standards by which expulsions might be considered in the House or Senate. To date, 20 Members of Congress have been expelled: 5 in the House and 15 in the Senate. A large majority of those expulsions were predicated on Members' behavior deemed to be disloyal to the United States at the outset of the Civil War. Nonetheless, the two most recent expulsions followed Members' convictions on public corruption charges.

Seems like maybe Mike Johnson should be recalled for failure to appear, dereliction of duty, and attempted negligent homicide. And if the Constitution doesn't matter anymore, then We The People can do it directly.
Removal of a Member of Congress Even though citizens cannot recall a member of Congress, the individual chambers can remove members of the House of Representatives or Senate by way of expulsion. The House or Senate can expel a member if there is the support to do so by at least two-thirds of the members. There doesn't have to be a specific reason, but in the past, expulsion has been used to punish House and Senate members who have committed a serious crime, abused their power, or been "disloyal" to the U.S. The House has expelled only five of its members and the Senate 15 in the history of the United States, the majority for showing disloyalty to the Union during the Civil War

On Oct. 17, D.C. police were driving a marked cruiser through Northeast Washington when they spotted a Dodge SUV with dark tinted windows and missing a front tag, according to court records. They were patrolling in collaboration with officers from five federal agencies, including the FBI and Customs and Border Protection, as part of the “Make DC Safe Again initiative,” court records show. The officers caught up with the Dodge and, according to court records, believed the driver was trying to flee. At some point, a Homeland Security Investigations officer shot into the car at Phillip Brown, 33, D.C. police confirmed in a statement to The Washington Post. Neither D.C. police nor the Department of Homeland Security have explained why the agent fired.

I grew up hearing this phrase, but I never felt like I understood what it meant. However, I now interpret it to mean that media exists to stimulate consumption. They have no vested interest in informing those who would stand against fascism, sexism, racism, etc. Nothing matters to them but $$$.
