Can fully recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman @mattdinniman.bsky.social! It’s the first book I’ve read in a long while that was able to keep my interest and was hard to put down.

I’m one of your constituents. This past week, Trump announced 100% tariffs on some medications. This is a direct tax on people who may need life saving drugs. For my family, it raises the question of whether a medication which insurance currently covers at $25 will suddenly not be covered, or become completely unaffordable. Imagine if your family is suddenly facing an out of pocket $14-15k/mo bill for a necessary medication because of a tariff. This is the exact situation our family will be in if the tariff ends up applying to us. I will come out and say it. Lack of action in Congress by you and your colleagues on this issue means you are directly contributing to hardship and the potential deaths of thousands of Americans. Congress holds the power to enact tariffs and reverse this. It’s one thing to encourage investment in the US and another to punish hard working Americans across the country because of business decisions made by the 1%. You have the power to fix this, and I believe the American people expect you to.

The joys of home pool maintenance after 10 years. Spa mode was tripping the breaker. It turned out a part in the heater was leaking because it had rusted. Ended up being a simple replacement. Also fixed the filter pressure gauge. Hopefully the squirrels won’t chew on this one. #pool #diy

Finally read this one. Not much to say except that I don’t think I’ll read the sequels. It was somewhat entertaining, I guess I just don’t enjoy comedic books as much as others. It was interesting though how my inner narrator became John Cleese when reading portions of it. 😂

I’m not sure what I’m doing yet, but I began making a sourdough starter. It’s alive!

I also finished a physical book (Parable of the Sower) for the first time in years. Unfortunately it has many parallels to our present reality.
