Because its inflationary, and prices will adjust accordingly to the point where the market will charge what it can bear, buyers gain nothing, the govt lose revenue and developers/sellers make out with the profit

No other issues matter if you arent getting the first step right. So no, there arent far wider issues. How could anything be more important than not knowing the call. You also have suggested what those issues are

You're right, at this point it's not just damaging HH and her own incompetence, it's shining a light on that entire side of the political spectrum. Hopefully the wide electorate now start to connect the dots into the perpetual failings and the people we left in charge for too long.
