TT will be back next week. The fact that it shut down is a wake-up call. Now people see how easily the government can silence 170 million people and shut down thousands of small businesses. If this were truly about data and propaganda, they would also shut down Suck and Elonia's platforms.

Hey tech policy geeks, so several people (maybe most famously Doctorow) have proposed that social media should have interoperability. If I understand it right, it's something like you have your followers across platforms, so a single platform can't erase you from it's powerful network.

The US banned TikTok because they are worried the app is manipulating the algorithm to promote propaganda. The ban stops free speech, so the government can push its propaganda. We are not free.
