Another restyle and revamp done. This took over hours to brush out the tangles before reconditioning it. What a ride.

New wig I styled for 1920s flapper-inspired fashion. It features short, wavy, white blonde hair, curled elegantly for a vintage look. The aesthetic is reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties, burlesque performance, drag. Can be reproduced

Finished up the underpinnings and the petticoat and now it's figuring out what to bead on the outer dress. If you have suggestions for more decoration go ahead.

I've run into a snag. The underpinnings look awesome but the addition of the chemise has given the measurements 1 to 2 mm to the chest girth. Which means the over dress is slightly too small. I have to figure out how to alter it now... #bjd journey.

Looks like she "may" be ready to cast. A few more coats of primer and I can make the moulds of plaster. I'm really happy with how she's turning out. #bjd #doll #handsewing

Next on the historically adequate #Bjd journey. An 18th century chemise pattern drafted out. Now to make some mock ups. When all is done I'll update with a picture of all the underpinnings.

My 18th century Orchid sculpture. She is a flower in the enchanted Garden of wonderland. This is an ongoing series called Alice in Wonderland but make it 18th century.

Decided to improve the posing by strengthening the wrists and ankles. I will shave them down to match the legs and forearms. I can't wait to cast her in ceramic. Then I can make other doll ideas I have. #bjd #3dprinted

The doll mock up. She poses quite well but I'm struggling with how the legs should sit. They kick up very easily and when I loosen the cord they dangle too much. I'm curious once she's cast in ceramic and has leather in the joints will she pose better? Has anyone had this issue with legs?

When I started this project it seemed simple enough. holy cow I did not expect to use every aspect of my crafting knowledge to embellish this dress. Loving every bit of it. Now Trying to get better at embroidery.

Welcome to my latest project. I'm developing a bjd (ball joint doll) in an 18th century historically adequate robe a la francaise. The goal is to cast her in ceramic in the next few months. The dissociation involved in this project has helped with my mental health. Here's to more art soon!
