This would be cool!
We explored a lot of more experimental approaches when we designed this, such as a “Web of Trust” where users can directly vouch for each other.
We’re still testing ideas in this area. Trust doesn’t just come from one signal — it’s built up from many overlapping ones.

A few thoughts on Community Notes.
- The bridging design of community notes has lots of merit, and the crowd-sourced (vs centralized) model has trust advantages. But Meta has not yet committed to open sourcing their data+code+changes as X has. Or given details of their implementation plans. 1/
