Largely retired from photography. This is from one of my last sessions, a bit over a year ago. I've had a camera in hand since 1991. That's 34 years! These days, it's mostly painting and sketchbook works. Not very actively pursuing sales. Attempting to... just... be.

Sunday morning coffee and reading time. With a 5 year old in kindergarten, a big 'ol farmhouse to take care of, full-time job, family and friends... my reading time often gets pushed out. Not today! Now... I read. 📖

I buy used items whenever possible. Used books being one of my biggest weaknesses. Will I ever read ALL the books I own? Probably not. But life is about having choices, am I right? 🤔🌈🥰

We had a superb evening last night at the Art Saves Lives reception. I'm so glad to be part of this show 2 years in a row. At the Athenaeum in coordination with the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.

Complete. Fun fact. This is the very first time in my life that I've drawn a particular face without a reference photo or a live model. And I had no one in mind when I began. I prepared by asking that my vision and pencil be guided. I believe they were. #sketchbook #divination

From the sketchbook, 2023. Didn't get her name but I felt like she had a hard life, though she appreciated the little things no one could take away from her. The smell of lilacs wafting in the spring air. The sound of a child's laughter. The small things made her happy, and so she was.

"Lori" acrylic on canvas. Around 2022. I just love the color palette here. My first love and now the best Auntie a Gay 'ol Papa like me could ever ask for. 🥰 #acrylic #canvas #painting #originalart #artist

"Disassociation" acrylic on canvas 2023. Part of a series on men's mental health. This painting recounts the night of my daughters 3rd bday party. It was a wonderful day. Then night fell. My husband had been drinking. I was primed and ready for a complete mental breakdown. It was a perfect storm.

Acrylic on canvas. 2018. "Jake" I have realized that in the beginning of my painting journey it just never occurred to me to use "natural" colors. Skin tone, etc. Then I just said "fuck it". 🤔😆 #acryliconcanvas #painting #figurepainting #maleform #acrylic

Central Park. Fall. Taken on a long weekend, belated honeymoon trip. Saw Wicked on Broadway and got as immersed in Manhattan as we could in the brief time we visited. #centralpark #manhattan #fall #photography #travelphotography
