My friend group's beta minecraft server accidentally changed seeds so the biomes got all fucked up. My base ended up being placed in the middle of a desert so there are just these random tiny spots where it rains

not related to the terrain issue but. the grass colors seem to have shifted towards modern colors? im not too bothered by it but. like. Why

What the hell happened here
Screenshot of a Minecraft map from the JourneyMap mod. I am in a snowy taiga biome that uniquely seems to be completely cut off at the north end, instead of smoothly transitioning between biomes like at the other edges of the biome. To the east of the taiga biome, there is a beach that also seems to be cut off at its southern and western edges.
