And by “tricked”, I’m not trying to erase the role of racism. Racism, and the allure of believing oneself to be instantly better than millions of others based on a trivial immutable attribute, is what made them so exploitable. Their hate fuels their demise.

I feel the same for poor whites who have ignorantly supported Republicans, trickle-down-economics, etc, for decades. Most Republican voters have been tricked (in one form or another) into empowering a group actively working against their interests — too dumb to realize they’ve been had.

That’s a much better use of time and energy — the ROI is much greater. Anyone who has ever supported Trump is effectively unreachable, either morally or cognitively deficient. I include anyone who intentionally “withheld” their vote.

This made me think that direction of harassment should become a thing, so I started trying to come up with examples, and I got a good starter.

That woman should absolutely have been fired. I can understand a frustrated worker being a little snippy from time to time, but using racial slurs and proudly declaring oneself to be racist should result in immediate dismissal.

I tend to like veggie burgers, but I have yet to try any impossible foods. I like the taste of vegetables well enough that I don’t want the extra processing needed to make them approximate the taste of meat.
