Agreed in this crazy world children need a day to dress up and get treats. You could in addition to the treats you share with children place a basket with can goods for parents and families to pick if you like.

Margaret, I live in NC we have a 50/50 split in Dem/Rep our congressional reps will be 11 R, 3D, our state House despite having more dem votes in the last election has a Rep supermajority in the Sen and 1 shy of supermajority in the House. What do you call that?

The republican party has been really effective at passing gotcha bills. The response is to say no I am not playing the game. Vote no. Then go out and say. "They are going to say I voted for political violence. You will see this in ads . I voted against a resolution that included hate speech."
