I'm about 3/4 finished with my annual reread of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
The part where Bob Cratchit raises a Christmas toast to Scrooge shook me in a way it never has before. Anyone with Scrooge's wealth and power today would feel vindicated, and think the spirits and Marley had it all wrong.
