answering this question before work: i think they're cool! obviously not practical in everyday use but homestuck uses them very well imo. however they also can't be used practically because they fall into 'Cringe' territory sadly

at the end of the episode, he has a mental breakdown in a bathroom, if my own experiences tell me anything its probably over many other things besides pomni, but directly involving pomni. he doesn't also seem to like his "archetype" given that he hates how he looks (contradicting episode 5)

he really wants to be the one that falls into an "Archetype", only defining people by their base traits instead of their actual character. he can only see everyone else as one dimensional stereotypes of their personality, but can't find a fitting "role" for pomni, because he knows too much about her
