Nice to be away from the lights!

Yes, clearly things snowballed very quickly. Hopefully, the FDR/CVR will have some clues

Consider that it wouldn’t take a *complete* loss of thrust on #2 or #3 to make the jet unable to fly. FOD damage to the MLG tires earlier in the takeoff roll could’ve also compromised acceleration such that they didn’t really have adequate speed, or took longer to get to Vr

This is Chad, majoring in Business Management (because Chad Dad told him to). He’s nursing a hangover, trying to figure out how to nail that one blonde Pi Phi from the house across the street, and has a paper due today that he hasn’t started. He’s never going to work a backhoe or lay a brick.

Maybe make the same suggestion to the Republican Representative from Maryland—a US Navy veteran—who posted pictures of naval vessels from India in his congratulatory message. This is a snarky allusion to that

Don’t know about the A300, but the 767 can exhibit a significant nose-up tendency when the ground/flight spoilers deploy on touchdown. That, plus control inputs intended to arrest the sink rate for the second contact, could’ve easily led to a tail strike.

In the background: Pete Huttlinger - phenomenal guitarist, and also gone way too soon. Look up his solo guitar records

Speaking of OW and Abbey Road, I was fortunate to be in the room a few weeks ago for a test where they sent 32 tracks of 24/48 audio from AR to OW via public Internet, where it was mixed and sent back with very low latency

Ah, that’s gorgeous. I look forward to listening to the whole thing. I’ve wanted a 251 for a long time, but couldn’t justify it.

Haven’t met him yet, but OW is a lovely facility

Accomplishing SLOP with T-LAR (That Looks About Right)…1NM, 2NM, 12NM, it’s all good! 😅

SLOP remains my favorite aviation acronym
