I agree with that. But it just seems derivative to blame critics of pride-washing for a decision that had more to do with ruling class trends and anti-LGBT complaints than anything (article cites this). Absolutely work within the system. Buy gay shit from businesses who still sell it by this June.

I understand that. But I believe leveraging spending by supporting a queer business is still a valid way to protest that attempt, any month of the year.

Organization and protest are what we have left. What better way to push a cultural zeitgeist back than to popularize other means of production?
