Showing off my contributor copy of SILK & SINEW edited by @garnetonwinter.bsky.social and published by @badhandbooks.bsky.social! I’ve been fortunate to have my work included in some truly special publications. Proud that “Guilt is a Little House” can represent the Thai diaspora here.

Off Limits Press officially closes tomorrow. This is your last chance to get their titles in their current editions, incl SLEEP ALONE. Physical & online retailers still have copies, but once they’re gone, that’s it 😢 I love this cover by Evangeline Gallagher so much—last chance to get your own!

I did some googling. Cosmic Debris? Found what I think is the same artist/designer and look at the price!

@anovelescape.bsky.social snapped this pic of SLEEP ALONE at Parallel Worlds in Portland! Thank you, Kelsea! I’m always thrilled to see my books out in the world, and happy to see the band is still on tour. Catch them before they hang up their guitars at the end of May 🎵 🚐 🎸🩸

Maria Haskins brings us more proof that Women In Horror is year round and here to stay (and destroy you)! Honored to find my story “The Ecstasy of the Saints” included here among these gems by some of the best writers working today. You can read/listen for free at PseudoPod 🕳️

We don’t have a xmas tree because of these little beasts who own my heart, but maybe they’ll mellow out one day. I kinda hope not, though. Anyway, here they are plotting destruction 😈

Time for some self-promo! I work hard on my books & stories and they want to be read. How about a touring band of starving queer succubi? Short stories about obsession and doppelgängers? Some decadently deranged art horror? Find them all at www.jawmccarthy.com/books

Another favorite recent read: RED SKIES IN THE MORNING by @nadiabulkin.bsky.social

Paracontagions, ticking clocks, a pathing agent and her missing sister. This explores the visceral how and why of a unique plague, digging into the depths of regret and loneliness. Absolutely loved it.

I’m long past due sharing recent book mail. Let’s start with COME AND ADMIRE HIM by @horrorsong.blog

Brutal, lyrical, visceral, unapologetically psychosexual. This is exactly what I love to read. Words that chew, sweat, bleed.

I hear there’s not many copies left, so visit his blog to get yours.

Hey, new friends, about me:

I’m the author of the sex, drugs & rock & roll, queer succubi novella SLEEP ALONE, the collection SOMETIMES WE’RE CRUEL, & numerous horror stories involving monstrous women and Thai folklore. I like it dark, sad, & decadently deranged. Prose 🖤er. Beauty in the grotesque.

SLEEP ALONE is 1 yr old today! What a year it’s been. I never could’ve guessed where my succubi would lead me. Stoker finalist! And some other behind the scenes things I can’t mention yet! Thanks to everyone who read, supported, boosted this book. Thanks for sticking with me 🖤🎸
