I'm excited to see this work as preprint. Apart from light, pH, and ligand, we can also see volatge dependence. A fascinating multi-gated nanopore system.
Our first photoswitchable channel, controlled by three separate stimuli, is now up on ChemRxiv! tinyurl.com/3m4umy3d - we use fluorinated azobenzenes and a pillar[5]arene core to modulate ion transport using light, pH, and guest, modulating initial rates 170-fold. Collaboration with Wallace Lab@KCL!
