“Ideological flexibility,” or what some might call “extreme hypocrisy.” But what else is new.

I held it together at tonight’s vigil until the brass ensemble from the Minnesota Orchestra started playing Amazing Grace and the crowd spontaneously joined in singing 💔 It was good to be with others tonight, lighting candles, sharing hugs, and petting golden retrievers.

We grabbed dinner last night at Taco Taxi and tasty pastries afterward at Panadería San Miguel. 10/10 would recommend.

Target vs. Costco stock prices since Target abandoned its DEI initiatives and Costco doubled down on theirs. It's almost as though DEI is good for business 🤔

Here’s the story of Manuel, a construction worker from St. Paul, who takes pride in his work and proudly pays his taxes. He suffered a back injury on the job in 2024 and is the primary caregiver for his nephew, Gabriel. Republicans would like to take his healthcare away. 3/4

Here’s the story of Gabby, a factory worker from Owatonna, where she’s lived for 24 years. She is diabetic, has struggled to afford insulin, lost a limb to the disease, and now, finally, has access to the healthcare she needs through MinnesotaCare. Republicans would like to take that away. 2/4

I imagine the Trump administration’s biggest problem with Y Tu Mamá También would be that super hot Gael-Diego kiss.

@metrotransitmn.bsky.social Not sure why you didn’t think to run three-car trains today. Completely full trains headed to the Capitol, no room for more, so we’ll wait for the next one, I guess?

Hell yes: "Rather than addressing harms against them, this legislation adds to the bullying that trans youth face daily, doubling down on the false message that there is something wrong with youth who practice integrity by living according to their God-given gender identity." @obyballinger.com

If you knew the answer wouldn’t be, “Sorry, there’s no money for that,” what would YOU like to see fully funded to improve your life or the lives of people you love? We can have nice things! There’s more than enough money to go around. #TaxTheRich #FundOurFutures #mnleg

Had a great visit with Rep. Samakab Hussein to talk about what’s at stake for our communities. While the federal government pushes tax breaks for the wealthy, we need strong state investments in housing, healthcare, childcare, and more. No more giveaways to corporations! #FundOurFuture #mnleg

Tonight, I light this candle for Sam Nordquist—for his life, his dreams, and the future he should have had. He deserved safety and love, not the unspeakable cruelty he endured. But he is not forgotten. His name, his light, and his truth live on. Rest in power, Sam. #JusticeForSam

At #UnidosDayAtTheCapitol with friends from my church and hundreds of others from around the state, calling on our legislators to defend the wins of the past two years and continue fighting to protect our undocumented neighbors.

Running through downtown Minneapolis in red undies on a Saturday in December is certainly one way to challenge stigma and spark conversations about HIV! The #RedUndieRun supports The Aliveness Project’s work to raise awareness and empower those living with HIV. Proud to run for an AIDS-free future.

This is a very important book. It takes an hour or two to read but I know I’ll be referring to it over and over again in the next several years.
