NYC Rat - Borderline by design, bipolar by accident. Self-worth sold for scraps. Pretty mess.
intersectionally pissed off.

industrial-age classicism, mass-produced iron parts assemble into a rigorously rhythmic façade, borrowing the language of columns and arches to make commerce look civic and grand 🖤

restrictive supply in NY/CA pushes population and growth to second-choice metros. Relax the constraint and you get some inflow less overcrowding/displacement not a national one-way migration. ‘All the believers already live there’ is exactly what you’d expect when housing acts as an admissions test

It hurts in a place I didn’t even know could still bleed. Every new drone icon feels like another receipt for our collective apathy and yeah, every time I see this horror roll by, I despise being an American. Passport made of guilt. I see you. I’m furious with us. And none of this is okay…

It’s hard to be surprised when we built our entire infrastructure around cars. The air quality, the heat, the noise, it’s all connected. We knew this was coming, and we did it anyway. Cities should be for people, not traffic…

Guess I got lucky then 😙

Thank you, for the care, the correction, the softness. That kind of attention? Rare. And needed. 🖤

Appreciate the reminder even more because, yeah, I’m bipolar. Type I. And watching my brain be weaponized as metaphor for a collapsing empire gets old. It’s not poetic. It’s hospitals, meds, stigma, and survival. I’ll find better words. Thanks for holding space

Point taken, “bipolar” was a lazy, ableist shortcut. Retiring it. The duopoly’s still a manic grift machine, though. Appreciate the call-in

A Jewish Marxist woman who refused to shut up. She spoke truth until they murdered her for it—strangled, shot, dumped in a canal. Rosa Luxemburg wasn’t just revolutionary in theory, she was the threat. Radical, uncompromising

Thought NYC tourists just overpaid for edge tickets, screamed at pigeons, called the subway “traumatizing,” and left thinking Times Square was the city. Court-watching at SDNY? That’s S-tier civic masochism props

New York breaks me like it loves me… loud, brutal, and somehow tender

The guy ghosted accountability, now he’s “worried” about NYC? Spare me
June 3, 2025 at 1:10 PM
True. This whole Cuomo comeback tour is grotesque, and the silence from Dem leadership is louder than any endorsement. Our bipolar two-party system is utterly fucked. No accountability, just vibes and power hoarding
June 3, 2025 at 12:54 PM
Fun fact: NYC's 1.3M Jews aren't a hive mind. Many of us would burn a ballot before choosing between a potential perv and an open Jew-baiter.
Survival voting doesn't equal endorsement. Do better than flattening us into props for your hot take

Right on, Lisa. Not ‘red states = evil’—it’s gerrymander chokeholds + 90 M Schlafwandler who skipped the polls and gift-wrapped Trump’s cosplay-Faschismus. FEMA’s new boss had to Google hurricane season. Rage up, register, haunt every ballot box before they erase the map

$20M of public money to legally terrorize the women he couldn’t destroy privately. Cuomo doesn’t just abuse power, he recycles it. At this point it’s not governance, it’s revenge with a state budget
June 3, 2025 at 12:11 PM
Cuomo’s whole “public-safety” kink, 15 % more cops, broken-windows nostalgia, badge-cosplay already costs us, but he still bills taxpayers $19 M to bulldoze the women who outed him. Law & Order, but only when he does the ordering. Hard pass

Prof. Greene, thanks for not letting the rulebook gather dust. Where have pointed scholarship or APA-style trench litigation actually nudged an administration back inside the lines? Would love to boost whatever still keeps Article II on a leash

Can’t wait for the TED Talk titled “How We Beat the Rats, But Not Poverty.”
Also love how this is spun as a win for public health when it’s mostly just a win for landlords sick of bad Yelp reviews about rats… But yeah. Let’s give the trash a future. Humans clearly don’t have one.
