@secscottbessent.govpeeps.us says there have been herds of cattle coming into the US from Mexico and that is pushing US beef prices up. That means all of the emphasis Trump put on a secure border has failed because we completely missed those herds of cattle.

In every previous shutdown the House continued work on appropriations bills to complete the budget they failed to get, requiring a CR in the first place. Speaker Johnson has the House in recess when they should be working on that legislation.

Day 19 of the #RepublicanShutdown and there are no House committees discussing an actual budget. They Republican controlled House failed to produce a budget, necessitating a CR. Every past shutdown has had Congress hard at work to produce a budget.
