Today we lost my office mate Beef. She was going in to the vet due to an eye infection and weight loss and ended up not being able to come home with us. My wife was able to hold her as she passed. I’ll miss her greatly.

New panel coming up. The housing seen here lets me mount these to the bottom of my desk (I have an L desk) so the stick out at me at a 45 degree angle. Examples shown of current panels. This one will go to the right of the existing 2.

The panel is effectively 2 bodies. A lettering body and a face body. These get exported together and imported into the slicer where the lettering body is turned white.

They print in a single pass with an automatic filament changer to handle the color changes.

Alright I need to show off a little. This is a fully 3D printed and backlightable panels for my flight simulator setup. This is the first one off the press, 4 more coming.

The button boxes are all parameterized 3D models in fusion. This lets me make more boxes easily and just swap out the face plates. I can change the width and depth of each box without having to remodel the whole thing.

Civilian models are still in the fusion 360 phase but the f16 stuff (longtime obsession with f16s) is out now
