I play video games and read books. I still like the idea of watching anime, but I haven't actually done it for a few years now.
But then once I got to around 20 hours ago in the timeline, it jumped ahead to 2 days, then 3 days, then 6 days. And when I went back to the normal feed, I noticed it wasn't even showing me everything from that initial 20-hour period. So what the hell is the point of that?

The Hat Squad emote plays out the gif almost every time it appears on my recap page, so that was a good laugh.

Yeah I don't mind it in theory but the way they send you notifications such as "you missed the stream but you can save your streak by watching next time!" and it's like shut up you're trying to create FOMO out of nothing

A similar thing happened with Ubisoft games, when they finally added Steam achievements earlier this year (a lot of them only had Uplay ones before). I'm pretty sure my Assassin's Creed 3 achievements will forever be rare because the original edition isn't for sale anymore, only the remaster is.

Yeah, I never even liked the standard Battle Royale gameplay loop of spending time looting a bunch of stuff to then die and have to do it all over. Extraction shooters add another layer where you can keep your stuff if you do well or lose everything if you don't. No thanks! Completely unappealing.

Nowadays I refuse to buy any shirt that isn't Comfort Colors. What are the other brands even doing? They made the best shirt. Why are you not also making the best shirt?!

I haven't played Tron 2.0 since I was like 15, but 15 year-old me loved it, so he would probably fight you on this

They love to complicate things like that for no good reason. Reminds me of how in Odyssey you could freely transmog your gear anywhere at anytime, and then in Valhalla you could only transmog at your town's blacksmith and it cost in-game currency every single time

I still think the domain username thing is VERY weird and something they'll need to do away with eventually. I imagine the overwhelming majority of the userbase just has it as the default, and it's strange and clunky to see "bsky.social" appear thousands of times on a timeline.

Wind and Truth (5th Stormlight book) took me a little over 2 months to finish. They are certainly long'uns. His Mistborn series is a far more manageable length on average

Kindle was absolutely rife with crappy AI children book ads earlier this year, for a few months in a row. Aside from the fact it's AI garbage I don't want to see, I don't even have anything kid-related on my Amazon account, so I have no idea why I was being served them.
